Please see the activity guide at the reception or down in the restaurant area. Activity bookings can be made directly with Reception.


Pool Villa bedrooms as well as all Cottages are equipped with an air-conditioner. Whilst using the air-conditioner, please keep all the doors and windows closed, to help conserve power and protect our environment. Please remember to switch off the air-conditioning before leaving your room!


You will most likely encounter our jungle animals. Please note that none of them are poisonous. Please call Reception (dial Ext. 0) if you like to have an animal removed. In each room you will find a green spray “BAYGON”, which can be used to spray on small insects like spiders, mosquitos and flies, etc.


Baby cots are available free of charge. Please contact Reception.


Shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and mosquito repellent (orange spray “OFF”) are provided. Please note that all body care products are the property of View Point Resort.


Bathrobes are provided in the Pool Villas, Deluxe Sea View, Deluxe Garden View Cottages and Deluxe Beach Front Cottages for your comfort. Should you wish to purchase robes as a souvenir, please contact Reception.


Siam City and Siam Commercial Bank are open from 09.00 am to 15.30 pm Mondays to Fridays. Bangkok Bank is open Mondays to Saturdays from 09.00 am to 16.00 pm. There are also numerous ATM’s and exchange booths around the island.


Breakfast is complimentary for all our guests.
Breakfast is served at the Restaurant between 7:30 am and 11:00 am.
Sandwiches before 7:30 am may be provided as take away and can be ordered at Reception before 8.00 pm a day prior.

For our Pool Villas and Deluxe Beach Front Cottages guests breakfast can be served in the room. Kindly fill out the breakfast sheet and leave it in the bamboo holder located outside your entrance. Our staff will collect it at 8:00 pm every evening for the next day’s breakfast.

We regret to inform you that we do not offer room service for our Deluxe Sea View Cottage, Garden View and Deluxe Garden View Cottage guests.


Bus and ferry companies operate from Koh Tao to Chumphon, Koh Phangan and Koh Samui. For further information please refer to “Transfers”.  Boat and bus tickets can be purchased at Reception between 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm.


The bar is open daily from 11:30 am until 11:00 pm. The last orders are to be placed by 10:30 pm at the bar and by 10 pm for Room service (Pool villas & Deluxe Beach front cottages).


It is not safe to drink tap water in Thailand. We provide complimentary drinking water in all our rooms daily.


Koh Tao currently does not have a full hospital service; however there are a number of private clinics on the island. There is a Koh Tao Rescue team that can be called from reception in the event of an emergency (+66 (0) 87 979 0191).

Electrical current is 220 volts. Please help us save electricity and be environmentally conscious by turning off the air-conditioning unit, lights and unused electrical equipment before leaving your room.

Fire extinguishers are located throughout the Resort. In case of a fire in your room, please inform Reception immediately and evacuate to the beach.


Fresh fruits are available daily at the Reception free of charge.


View Point Resort provides daily Housekeeping service from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm. Please use the “Do not disturb” sign if you do not need this service.


Kayaks can be rented at the restaurant / bar: half-day rental ฿ 350 / full-day rental ฿ 650.


The Staff of View Point Resort speak several languages: Thai, English, French, German, Spanish, Burmese and Bulgarian.


Please note the laundry service on Koh Tao uses fresh cold water. View Point Resort uses an outside laundry service and is therefore not responsible for any damage or missing items of clothing. This service takes minimum of 24 hours.


A small selection of DVD's, books  and magazines can be found at the library.


If you would like to have your luggage collected and brought to the Reception at checkout please call Ext. 0.


Massages are available daily by appointment only in the Chillax Hut. Please book your appointment with reception at least 1 day before. The full treatment menu may be found at Reception and Restaurant area.


You will find a mini-bar in all rooms. A price list is provided and the mini-bar is stocked with local and international drinks and snacks.


Heavy rain, strong winds and large waves are common between late October and early December. Boat services generally continue but they can be interrupted if the conditions are considered too dangerous.


Mosquito coils and a mosquito repellent spray are provided for your convenience. Mosquito fumigation around View Point Resort is scheduled monthly.


Please keep noise to a minimum after 10.00 pm.


Pets are allowed. We kindly ask you to clean up after your pet and to dispose of waste appropriately. Please keep dogs on a leash at all time. Guests will be asked to fill in and sign the Pet Policy and Agreement Form upon check-in.


On Koh Tao government power cuts are common and may take place several times a day. Therefore, View Point Resort will switch on the back-up generator. In the event of a power cut, you can use the torches provided in your room. Please be patient until we switch over to the back-up generator.


View Point Resort provides a parking space free of charge for its guests.


The Restaurant is open daily from 7:30 am to 10:30 pm.
Breakfast is served from 7:30 am to 11:00 am
Lunch is served from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm
Dinner is served from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Pool snacks are available all day.


Most main areas on the island have concrete roads but you still need to watch-out for pot-holes, animals running into/across the road and bad drivers, of course. Be aware of dust or sandy patches on the road which can cause your wheels to spin.
In other areas of the island, roads are often dirt tracks. Due to the lack of drainage, dirt road conditions can change significantly after heavy rain.


All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, TV, safety box, kettle with complimentary coffee and tea and minibar.
A hair dryer is provided in Pool Villas and Deluxe Cottages. For other room types a hairdryer may be borrowed from Reception.


Room service is available for our Pool Villa and Deluxe Beach Front Cottage guests from 7.30 am until 9.00 pm. Please dial Ext. 806 to place your order. A service charge of ฿50 is applied to your bill for each delivery (excluding complimentary breakfast delivered).


All Pool Villa’s and Cottages are equipped with a personal safe. If you have any valuables which do not fit in your personal safe, please take them to Reception to lock in the reception safe. The resort accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to guests’ belongings and valuables.


Smoking is forbidden inside the rooms at View Point Resort. However, guests are authorized to smoke in outside areas.


Masks, snorkels and fins can be rented at the restaurant: ฿100 per day / ฿500 per week.


We kindly request you to use the shower before entering the swimming pool in your Pool Villa. This is particularly necessary when you have sun lotion or oil applied to your skin. This is to prevent the water from turning green. If necessary or maintenance staff will give the water a shock treatment with chlorine which should clear the water within 48 hours.

- No Lifeguard. Guests enter the pool at their own risk
- Children have to be supervised by adults at all times
- Guests must shower before entering pool, especially if they have applied lotion
- Guests must not dive into the pool, run in the decking area or cause disruption to bathers
- No prolonged underwater swimming (holding breath),
- No food, breakable glass or cigarettes in the pool
- No spitting, urinating or blowing nose in the pool
- Chewing gum in the pool is prohibited
- No person under the influence of alcohol or drugs is permitted to use the pool
- Swim toys may be used but at the discretion of the management. Toys will be removed if they cause disruption to other guests
- Unattended objects and sun beds will be cleared by staff members
- Guests must be dressed in swimming attire (bathing costumes), no shorts and shirts. Ladies must not sun bathe / swim topless
- Infants and children who are not toilet trained must wear swim diapers
- During rain and thunderstorms, the pool may be closed and area cleared of guests at the discretion of Hotel Management
- The pool may be closed and cleared periodically if it needs to be treated for chemicals due to rain, sun lotion etc.
- No outside drinks or food allowed.

Pool usage is complementary for in-house guests.


Outside guests are welcome to use the pool for a nominal charge of ฿ 250 per person. This fee includes a towel and a refreshing beverage (Fresh young coconut, Leo, Tiger or a soft drink).
IMPORTANT: Due to a limited amount of sun loungers, priority will be given to in-house guests.


View Point Resort offers a complimentary taxi service for in-house guests every Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon to either Mae Haad or Sairee (drop off and pick-up in front of 7-Eleven in Mae Haad and Gas Station in Sairee). Please make sure you reserve your seat with the reception in advance (maximum capacity 12 people). The taxi departs from View Point Resort at 2:30 pm. Pick-up from Sairee is at 6:30 pm and at 6:40 pm from Mae Haad.
Our daily taxi service is available from 7:30 am to 9:30 pm. The rate depends on where you are travelling to. Please contact reception for our rates to specific places on the island.


External calls can be made only at the Reception. Telephones are provided in all rooms for your convenience to make internal room to room calls only.

To avoid blockages, please do not flush toilet paper or other sanitary items down the toilet.
Kindly use the bins provided.


A torch is provided for guests to use whilst at the resort in each room.


Please help us to conserve water by using towels more than once. Place used towels on the floor when you would like them to be replaced. Brown towels are to be used for the beach and pool areas. These are provided in Pool Villas and Deluxe Beach Front Cottages and can be obtained from the Restaurant for all other guests.


We provide a complimentary transfer from the pier upon check in. Please note you must inform Reception of your arrival time at least one day in advance.
A complimentary transfer to the pier upon check out is available; the time will be scheduled by Reception to coincide with your ferry. Please inform Reception the evening before for your departure time of your ferry.


For security purposes, we request that outside visitors who stay after 10:00 pm register at Reception. Should your visitor stay overnight a charge of ฿ 2,500 per person is applicable to your hotel bill.


Free WiFi is provided in every room, in the Restaurant and at Reception areas.
